New Holland Rochester – Proud Optimist Supporter

New Holland Rochester has been a proud supporter of the local Optimist Club by supporting their local community projects such as the pumpkin project.

The Rochester Optimist Club grows pumpkins to sell in order to raise money to support the club’s mission, “Friendship of Youth.” Jim, Jesse, and Matt Straeter, owners of the New Holland Rochester business and Optimist Club members themselves, dedicate their time and resources to help make sure the pumpkin harvest is successful. This year, the club had sales in excess of $30,000 (another record year!)

The Straeter’s are thankful for having such a great group of members in the Rochester Optimist Club, access to a field to harvest the pumpkins (generously donated by Dick Belcher this year), the equipment to make the harvest go as smoothly as possible, and to be in such a great community of people who support our project and mission. Thanks again to everyone who made the Optimist Club’s pumpkin project a successful year!

New Holland Rochester and Ag Technologies took part in the parade with a new New Holland T5.115 pulling an antique box wagon with a seeder on the back in order to demonstrate the level of innovation that has been achieved in the ag industry since Indiana’s birth. Thanks to all those who came out to the parade to celebrate with us!

Rochester Open House was a Crowd Pleaser!

Today’s Open House event at New Holland Rochester had about 500 attendants come out to celebrate our customer appreciation day with us. We appreciate the great turnout (and the snow holding out until this afternoon)! Along with the great meal served by our local Rochester Meat & Deli, there was plenty of new, innovative products on display with knowledgeable company reps to discuss with, and major discounts to be had on products through the parts department.

Also, we raffled off a pink pedal tractor in order to raise money for the local Compassionate Health Center. Congratulations to our winner, Cindy Coleman!

Rochester Open House 2016 (28)

Thanks again to everyone who came out making the day such a success. We appreciate your continued support of our company. For those of you who couldn’t make it, be sure to stop in sometime within the next week to take advantage of all of the parts discounts offered today (call the parts department at 574-223-2714 for details). We hope to see you all again soon!

FCYLA Vists New Holland Rochester

The Fulton County Youth Leadership Academy (FCYLA), recently visited New Holland Rochester. FCYLA is a group of juniors in high school from Fulton County that learn about how to become leaders in the community. So, as part of that agenda, the group added a visit to New Holland Rochester to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation from the company president, Jim Straeter. Jim spoke with the students about his innovations and patents with the Cornrower and solar systems we sell and he invented. The students enjoyed learning from Jim about what it takes to become an entrepreneur, innovator, and leader within the community, and we enjoyed having the opportunity to share what we do with them.

Farm Equipment magazine has just recognized New Holland Rochester dealership with their “Best in Class” dealership award for 2014. The award is broken up into two categories, Multi-Store Operations and Small-Store Operations. Our dealership falls into their Small Store Operation category. While the judges noted our new New Holland Centerville location, our solar business, and Jim Straeter’s innovative and successful Cornrower machine as reasons why they selected us, we like to believe that it’s also our hard-working employees dedicating their time and effort to meeting our customer’s needs that makes us so successful.
